CellGeneMedix LLC is a physician-led molecular diagnostics company based in Newark, New Jersey. We develop molecular assays for cancer, inherited disease risk and infectious disease, and we distribute diagnostic kits made by our Korean manufacturing partners.
Fast, low-cost assays that detect treatment-guiding mutations. Our five-color multiplex real-time PCR assay for KRAS and BRAF in colorectal cancer received the Best Clinical Poster award at the ASCP 2024 Annual Meeting. We are also developing breast cancer sequencing workflows on Illumina and Oxford Nanopore platforms.
Cancer Genomics ResearchTesting for healthy adults that estimates inherited risk for the major diseases of aging and looks at markers of biological aging, so that screening and prevention can start earlier.
Longevity Genetic TestingMultiplex PCR, variant-detection and rapid antigen tests for COVID-19, manufactured by Goodgene, Inc. These kits are CE-marked for Europe and Asia and are not authorized or cleared for use in the United States.
Diagnostic ProductsCellGeneMedix LLC was formed in New Jersey in 2020 as the U.S. distribution partner of Goodgene, Inc., a Seoul-based developer and manufacturer of DNA chips, PCR kits and rapid tests certified under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 13485.
During the COVID-19 pandemic we focused on molecular and antigen testing, including pre-EUA submissions to the U.S. FDA for PCR testing (2021) and antigen testing (2022). Since 2022 our work has expanded into cancer genomics, with research presented at the Cancer Genomics Consortium (2022) and the American Society for Clinical Pathology (2024).
In 2026 we adopted a three-year research plan (2026–2029) in molecular diagnostics and computational pathology. See our full history.
CellGeneMedix is led by its founder, Jung Joo Moon, M.D., a board-certified pathologist whose research covers molecular assays for cancer and infectious disease.
Our founder is the inventor on patents and patent applications covering rapid antigen testing, DNA-chip and probe-based detection methods, and primers and probes for SARS-CoV-2 variants and cancer-related mutations, including a patent granted in the Republic of Korea in 2026. See patents.
Our mission: to make precise molecular testing faster, more affordable and easier to access.
